My father was in a country band and until my parents divorced when I was 10, music was everywhere in the house. Randy says his father is still his
biggest influence in music. In addition to being selected to compete at the Oklahoma Opry, Heavin recently won the OCMA Rising Star Award, and received second place in a talent competition at the Transition House June Bug
Jam. The Event Also raises money and awareness for adults with mental illness. Though he performs every weekend at various locations in and around Oklahoma and continues to garner recognition for his
Work. Heavin admitted he faces a difficult battle in the music industry. Randy Joe Heavin had been heard from coast to coast but little did he know about that because of his
l ack of knowledge of the industries business end, but since beginning in this world, Randy has learned and picked up on information that has been obsorbed by Heavin to help further his future the right way.
Randy had attended a lot of shows around the nation and met several executives of the music industry. meeting and talking to Lou Nelson of Lou Nelson Promotions & Mgmt, Randy is ready to get to work and
find his knitch in all the music that is being performed and with his new help behind him. Nelson says:Randy Joe Heavin has been sitting on the sidelines watching others accelerate, but performing HIS music
at shows around the nation, he just hasnt realize that the industry excutives see his talent and potential that this man has and I think hes gonna make it. Nelson says, I have to get the shyness out of this man and get him
feeling positive that someone is there for him and Lou Nelson will be there for him. Randys new single on Texas Drover Records, a compilation that is distributed around the world, to include Japan, Europe, Australia, New
