Royalty Talent was the brain child of myself and the great Buster Doss. It
was a trip to Nashville to record that we came up with something we both agreed would help a lot of the artist in indie music. It was our first time to talk
face to face in about six months and we always did have a lot to talk about. Me knowing buster for over 30 years and always being one to listen to what he had
to say. He started talking about country music and what the artist of today had that the people of yesterday didn't. And it hit us at the same time. A booking
company that worked for the artist and put them first. So we started putting two and two together and came up with a plan to go forward with.
He asked" if I had a name for the company" and I said yes. I had learned a long time back from him, never start something unless you had a name and it better
be a good one. although at the time I didn't have a clue. So, you quest it the very next words out of his mouth was "well" and with that smile that told me
I better think of something fast. So without so much as a breath," I said your real royalty Buster" The radio was a little to loud at the time, so he asked again and I said "Royalty Talent Agency"
Then as if to say "good thinking" he smiled from the side and said "good name yep, real good name. So that's was the start of Royalty. But the real start was about 30 years back when I first meet Buster Doss.
All of us in the music business has someone he or she looked up too when they first began singing or writing. I was fortunate to have one that loved country music and was willing to share his leadership
with such a young man as I was at the time. Many days and nights were spent listening to the way a song should be written or the way a song should end or the hook, and what part of
the song will the listener be waiting for. He set the standard for me back in those days I would never forget. Not only did he share the music with me, He also talked about live, and the hurt of being let down when you
have worked so hard on something and it just didn't happen. About family and what came first in your life. Today I can't just pick up the phone and call as I use to but all his
words did not fall on deaf ears. "if it sounds good to you, it will sound the same way to others" and " do it the best you can, and let other people
tell you how good you did" also " do the show like it's the last one you will ever do" Words like this come only one time in life. By now you may be wondering who was this man, some of you already
know, yes and your right, it was Buster Doss. The man behind so many things. Stardust Records, the heart and soul of the Indie movement around the world. His production, in any studio, had been way before his time.
He could take a song, no matter if it had been done many times before, and make it sound brand new. The great Artist he managed or produced from Billy Walker to Cooder Brown or from Troy Cook Jr. to Rooster Quantrell
all have said the same thing. He placed the Artist first. It was only a few years ago when he came up with the world famous Jamboree By The Lake in Winchester, Tennessee. As he thought of a place
where Indie Artist could come to play their music and interact with other Artist from around the world. And all not costing them a dime. No sign-up fees, just a place where some of today's Indie Artist could come to sing
a song. The Jamboree By The Lake is now in it's 3rd year and one of the largest Independent Country Music showcase's of today. I have been honored to be a part of this every year. And come August 31 2007 I'll
be there again. We are now working with a lot of folks, not only booking some of the greatest talents in the business, but also producing some of the new names
you will be hearing in the next few months. And as I watch some of the recordings come to life, I can't help but wonder if he is still watching and listening to what I do. I sure hope so. I can only hope he is pleased with
the way we write a song or sing on the world stages or even produce some of today's music. So if your an Indie Artist and looking for bookings, or if your looking for
some of the best entertainment you can find anywhere. You want do bad if you check out this web site. And if you need help getting the best your money can buy. Just pick up the phone and call. As an old friend told me
one time" do it the best you can, then let other people tell you how good you did" and it will all work out. Thanks for the visit, come back real soon. Beau Renfro / Stardust
